Shangeon Lee (ILO) to the young generation: Never tire of learning
The world of employment is in constant evolution, many things will change and nothing is certain, but there’s one thing that will not change: the fact that, to work, we will need to continuously learn and acquire new skills, throughtout the course of our lives. Now even more than ever.
Sangheon Lee, director of the Employment Policy Department at the International Labour Organization (ILO), focuses on the central role of lifelong learning. The United Nation agency is tasked with promoting proper and productive employment in conditions of freedom, equality, security, and human dignity for men and women.
And to today’s youth, Sangheon Lee recommends not just to study, but also to make their voices heard by governments, politicians, companies: “This way they will create better opportunities for work for everyone”.
